My name is Dylan.
I am a student studying Computer Science and AI at Victoria University of Wellington. 🎉

What I do Link to heading

• In Computer Science I learned how to create basic applications in the Java programming language.
• In my AI classes I would learn to to train data using in Orange.
• In my Cyber classes I was taught the best practices for personal online security and privacy.
• And just for fun I took Political Science where we had to design out own fictional Utopia.

• Software: VScode, NeoVim, BlueJ, Github, Obsidian.
• Operating systems: Arch linux, Kali linux, Proxmox, FreeBSD

Main Fields of Interest Link to heading

• I really enjoy setting up Servers and Network Equipment as well as Building PCs. 🖥️
• Another interest of mine is Homelabbing where I have server running Proxmox LXCs which run: Jellyfin, Immich, Pi-Hole, Beszel, SearXNG, and a VPN all running under Tailscale.
• I am in the process of building an OPNsense router as well. 🌐
• I also enjoy hacking (ethically of course) and doing CTF challenges (notably NZCSC 2023 where my team came 20th in the country).

Outside of IT and University Link to heading

When I am not working on any University or Personal projects I like to:

• Go for walks around Wellington to find a good Coffee shop. ☕
• Practice Music and Martial Arts. 🥋
• Go on Mountain Bike rides. 🚲
• I also work in Event Security as a part time job.
